Aunt Cori,
I can remember visiting your house for the holidays when I was just five-years old. The way you and Uncle Tony invited me into your home and accepted me as part of your family is something I will never forget.
Even though I am grown now and live farther away, please know that my wife and I love you and Uncle Tony. It is comforting to know that he feels no more pain and suffering.
We love you...

My dear dear Corie,
Frank Jr. called to tell us of Tonys passing. I know this is a very difficult time for you and our prayers and thoughts are with you. I think of our days at Chaminade cafeteria and remember the good times we had. Frank and I speak of you often and when we do, we always smile. You have always been two of our favorite people.
Love,
Frank & Leah Detmer

To Dear Sweet Corie & your wonderful Family: after reading all of these condolences it's hard to say all I feel. Except that I will miss Donchie's BIG Bear Hugs & his sheepish grin. I remember whenever I came to Dayton he would say "Are you here again?" & almost crush me with a hug. Oh what a wonderful Cousin. Sorry there isn't enough space here to tell you all how much I loved him. My Love & prayers are with all of you. Sincerely: Mary Lou
P.S.: Please keep me in your prayers, also.

Dear Mrs. Schwendeman and Loving Family,
We are so sad to hear that Mr. Schwendeman passed. He seemed to me to be the epitome of a perfect man, husband and father. Although I had not seen him in many years, I can easily recall fond memories of him around the family home when Corie and I were running around in the 60’s and early 70’s. He seemed like such a great dad, a hard worker, and a very loving husband. It is easy to see the great influence he had on his large and wonderful family. We were all blessed to know him, if even for a short while. Thanks, Corie’s dad, for the cool stained glass shades! May you rest in peace and continue your watch over your special family.
With deepest sympathy and love,
Mimi Bontempo and Family

To all the Schwendeman's but especially to my sister Blanca and my brother-in-law David and their boys,
I feel honored and blessed to have known Mr. Schwendeman. He was a great man, husband and father - he was authentic, his behavior said it all. He had the greatest wealth and highest accomplishments - a loving family and a long life, lived with honor.
He lives on in his children and grandchildren who have followed in his footsteps. I know David has followed his Dad as a wonderful man.
My heart goes out to all of you and to Mrs. Schwendeman, a loss so great is difficult to take. God bless you and help you through this time.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank the entire schwendeman family for all the memories! The Memorial day picnics at the park,HUGE weddings,Christmas parties. One of my fondest...I drove to Kentucky all by myself(well me and my dog) when I was maybe 18 years old. I stopped by Uncle Tony's and Aunt Corrie's house...yes they made me feel right at home!! Thanks for always making me feel welcome..even if it was once every 5-10 years!!

Mrs. Schewendeman, Although I never met your husband, I have worked with your son David since I have been with Rumpke. It is obvious to me that based on the type of person David is, your Husband must have been a very good man. As they say, "the fruit does not fall far from the tree." Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss
