Anthony Smith, 58 yrs old, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday 01-15-23 while surrounded by his Loving Children. Anthony was in the care of the UofI Hospital in Iowa City.

Anthony was a Beloved and Devoted Father, Grandfather and Friend. His Passing was unexpected and has left a large hole in the hearts of the people who knew him.

Anthony was born on 09-13-1964 in Chicago, Ill, to Yvonne (Yates) Smith and Joe Smith. Anthony attended Rich Central High School, but Graduated from Bloom Highschool in Chicago, Il. In 1981 Anthony had his first child, Gia (Mason) Gallimore. As an adult Anthony made his way to Minneapolis Mn, where he wouldmarry Lizette (Goddard) Smith and have 4 more children, Anthony Smith Jr, Antoine Smith, Alysia (Smith) Bolstad and Aziley (Smith) Welton.

Anthony spent his life chasing his culinary passions while running and managing various kitchens and personally owned restaurants. In his off time Anthony would always laugh, bbq and spend time with family and friends. Anthony, while not a rich man, was rich in life and love. Nothing brought him more joy than his Children and subsequent Grandchildren.

Anthony was predeceased by his Beloved Mother, Yvonne (Yates) Smith. He is Survived by his Father, 2 Siblings, 5 Children and 14 Grandchildren.

Per the final wishes of Anthony the Family is Moving forward with a Cremation thru Brosh Chapel located in Cedar Rapids Ia.

The Family will hold a "Celebration of Life" Service at a later date details released thru his Facebook page.

The Family finds Peace in the fact, that Anthony is reunited in Heaven, with his Mother.
