Anthony Dewey Womack

On the afternoon of September 9, 2018, around 3:00 pm, our beloved Chicago Fireman entered into an eternal rest after a life of unequalled achievements. He served as a Chicago Fire Fighter at Station 19 for 30+ years, achieving many accolades, including assisting in New York during the 9/11 tragedy.

He had many titles of endearment from his family and friends such as, "Tony" and "Satch," but amongst these the one he aspired to the most was Daddy. In his free time, he enjoyed watching Animal Planet and scary movies, collecting comic books, fishing, and hunting. He was an enjoyable, humorous man.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Elizabeth; his mother, Johnnie Mae Womack; and his father, Dewey Pearson.

He is survived by his family: daughters, Tiffany Womack (Austin, TX), Lavena Womack (Austin, TX), Arion Womack (St. Paul, MN) and Sierra Womack (Chicago, IL); a son, Geontae Womack (Chicago, IL); grandchildren, Sevion Devine, Damien Jones, Jacob Grayson, Tristan Bertelson, Elani Womack, Antonion Wade, Adoreion Wade, Anthony Womack, Simaree Neal, Simareah Neal, Simere Neal, and Jahmai Anthony Womack; brothers and sisters, Janice (Chicago, IL), Jerome (Carol) (Houston, TX), Gwendolyn (Chicago, IL), Valorie (Leonard) (Chicago, IL), Raythail (Chicago, IL) and Barbara (Atlanta, GA); and a host of other relatives, fire fighters and friends.
