Anton Schmidt Obituary
On April 11, 2017 with his family by his side, Tony Schmidt passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior. Anton was born in Montmartre, Saskatchewan on December 24, 1923 to Karl and Olga Schmidt. In 1942 he moved to Mission with his family where he has resided ever since. In 1946 he married Edna Crape and they began 64 years of marriage together having two sons Allan and Michael. Tony worked for 39 years at Whonnock Lumber. After his retirement he continued to enjoy breakfast with his workmates. Tony was able to enjoy a long retirement making many happy memories with his family, many friends and acquaintances from his community. Left to mourn, but grateful for the blessing he has been are his two sons Allan (Debbie) and Michael (Janet); 9 grandchildren and their spouses and 11 great grandchildren.
A Service will be held on Saturday April 22, 2017 at 2:00pm at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 32420 7th Avenue Mission BC.
