Antone Lee Zupo Lodi - Antone (Tony) Zupo, 89, of Lodi California passed away on March 30th with his daughter, Sharla, by his side.

After graduating from Lodi High School Tony enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed as a vehicle mechanic and ambulance driver at Fort Carson in Colorado. When he was honorably discharged, Tony used the GI Bill to attend college. He graduated from California State University Sacramento and Humphrey's School Of Law. Tony was a member of the California State Bar Association and began a career as a CPA specializing in tax law. Tony worked for the Internal Revenue Service. After he left the IRS, Tony joined the Hahn & Bauer Accountancy Corporation in Lodi. In 1994, he formed the Antone L Zupo Accountancy Corporation where he thoroughly enjoyed preparing tax returns and representing clients. Friends, colleagues, and clients knew they could reach Tony even after business hours and weekends throughout the year.

Tony loved baseball and was the official scorekeeper and PA announcer for his father's (Tony Zupo Sr.) Semi-Pro baseball team. Tony Jr. also spent his summers attending games of the Modesto Nuts and Stockton Ports where his daughter, Sharla, sang the national anthem. When baseball season ended, he enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49ers and Sacramento Kings.

Tony was pre deceased by the love of his life, his wife Jacqueline (Jackie) Zupo, daughter Sherisse Zupo Pantoja, and sister Roberta (Zupo) Canier.

Tony leaves behind daughter Sharla Zupo of Stockton, CA., son-in-law Joel Pantoja of Galt, CA., brother William Zupo (Patti) of Antioch, CA., and numerous relatives, colleagues, and friends. Tony will be dearly missed.

As much as I hate tax time I always looked forward to my hour or so spent with Tony talking about world problems don´t think we solved any but always enjoy his wealth of knowledge. Tony was a great man and I will miss him dearly.RIP Tony you will be happy in the arms of your bride again!!

Tony was a good guy. He was a tax attorney, former IRS employee, and CPA. They don´t make them like that anymore. Tony broke the mold. I particularly liked his stories about the IRS. And he had a lot of them. My condolences to his friends and family.

My sympathies to your family. Tony's mother, Lydia was like my 2nd mother/mentor when I was a young girl. She meant the world to me. I had meant Tony Jr a few times. What a wonderful man. My he be in Paradise.
