It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Tony on Feb. 22, 2014 at the Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 84.  Tony was a hard worker with a deep commitment and love for his family. He will always be remembered by all for his generous spirit and sense of humour. He was the beloved husband of Rita for 54 years. Cherished father and father in law of Valeria and Haimant Bissessar, Vanda and Jason Goldsmith and Mara and Steve Medeiros. Much loved nonno of Mark, Julia, Dante, Eric, Chiara and Maya. Brother and brother in law to the late Amelia and Delio Gandolfi, the late Teresa and Eliseo Fusina and the late Armando and Maria Pini. Beloved uncle to Aldo Fusina, Anna and Lou Pellicciotta and Joe and Josie Pini. Brother in law of Elide and Antonio Barbuti, Giulia and Bruno Giaroli, Adriana and the late Icilio Bernardi, Enio and Mariangela Anelli all of Italy.  Dear cousin of Adolfo and Joanne Picconi of New York. Tony will be sadly missed by the many nieces, nephews and friends in Canada and Italy. Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s and the Hamilton General Hospitals and to Dr. Lagrotteria for their care and compassion. Visitation at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave E, Hamilton, on Tuesday, February 25th from 1-4 p.m.and 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will take place at 3 p.m.  A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Annunciation of Our Lord Church 280 Limeridge Rd W, Hamilton on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery 254 Garner Rd. (Hwy. 53) W, Ancaster. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
