Antonios "Tony" Karvounis, 65 Antonios "Tony" Karvounis passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, July 12th in Drexel Hill. He was born in Athens, Greece on June 20, 1948, son of the late Efthimios and Georgia Karvounis. Antonios served in the Greek navy, and later became a merchant marine. His lifelong passions were of his favorite Greek soccer team, Olympiakos, fishing, bowling, gardening, and above all the endless love for his Family. Antonios will be joining his late son, Efthimios (Mike) Karvounis (Brande Baer), in heaven. Survivors: Husband to the greatest love of his life of 45 years, Efrosini (nee Vardakas), his living children, Stavros, (Steve) (Cheryl), and Pantelis, (Peter), Karvounis. His 5 grandchildren, which he had a special love and cherished each one as a treasure, Michelle Baer, Anthony Karvounis, Marina Karvounis, Efthimios (Mikey) Karvounis, and Anthony Joseph (A.J.) Karvounis. Viewing: will begin at 11:00 A.M, with service to follow at 12:00 pm, Thursday, July 18th, 2013, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 229 Powell Lane, Upper Darby, PA. 19082. Burial: Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA. 19026. All relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arr.: Vraim Funeral Home.
