I was saddened to hear of the passing of one of the nicest and greatest senators to have served our beautiful island. Having worked with Sen. Unpingco while protocol director for Carl Gutierrez, he worked with everyone -- and did so with a smile. He was passionate about our island and will be missed by so many who loved and respected him. I know God will take good care of him in Heaven.

One of my cherished memories of Tony was his endearing smile, laughter, and professionalism.
