1920 - 2013
Passed away at the Lachine Hospital on January 7th, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Anne Kirkland. He was the loving father of Evelyn (Richard Slocombe), Etta (Eldred Vivian), Debbie (Pat Di Staulo), Robert (Maria Nigro) and the late Michael. Proud grandfather of Kevin and Shelley Slocombe, Natalye, Nya, Paul and Mark Vivian, Julia Di Staulo and Angelica and Samantha Greaves and great-grandfather of Logan Lupovici. Dear brother of the late Lolita (Martin Carter), the late Eglantine (late Dennis Bailey). He will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, his extended family from the Masonic lodge, the Shriners and Ste- Geneviève United Parish. Warm thanks to Trevor for his support and love over the last years. Archie's family will receive condolences on Sunday, January 13th, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources blvd, Dollard-des- Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 14th, 2013 at 3 p.m. in the Rideau Chapel. Donations in his memory to the Shriners or to Ste-Anne's Veteran Hospital would be appreciated. A Masonic Service to be held Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.

Archie was always known to me as "Uncle Archie" as he was my father's best friend and gave me away in his stead at my wedding some 35 years ago. I knew him to be a loving, caring man, who would bend over backwards to help you out. Always ready with a joke to make you smile or laugh, my uncle Archie will be sadly missed.

So sorry to hear of Archie's passing. He was such a wonderful man! I got to spend some time with him and even had a dance at Ste Anne de Bellevue Veterans Hospital last year. He was truly a gentleman and will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to Evelyn, Etta, Johnny, Tony, Debbie and Bobby.
