Arden G. Asleson

Asleson, Arden G. age 81, of New Hope, passed away April 30, 2010 at home. Born on Aug. 5, 1928 in Hanska, MN to Arnold and Selma (Christianson) Asleson. He graduate from Madelia High School, married Dorothy Johnson on March 15, 1953, served in the Navy from 1952-1954, returned to Mpls and attended Dunwoody Institute. He worked as a machinist until retiring in 1994. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the lake. Survived by wife, Dorothy; children, Beverly (Douglas) Wood, Michael (Judy) Asleson, Sandra (Marc) Feldbrugge and Linda (Jim) Voda; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers. Allan (Virginia) Asleson and David (Thelma) Asleson; sister, Sharon (Lowell) Kutches; step-sister, Eda (Ralph) Engles; step-brother, Myron (Marie) Thorstad; sister-in-law, Julene Hartfiel; and brother-in-law, Martin (Mary) Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society or American Legion Westphal Post #251. Interment Glen Haven Cemetery. Funeral service Wednesday 5/5/10 at 10:30 AM at Elim Lutheran Church, 3978 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale.
