BEECHER, Ardice Catherine Ardice Catherine Beecher beloved wife of Peter Langill of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Hospital on May 4, 2009 at the age of 54 years. Besides her loving husband, Ardice will be dearly missed by her son Mark Wessley and daughter Alison Wessley, her mother Lavina Beecher of Girvin, Saskatchewan and brothers Amel Beecher of Girvin, Saskatchewan and Malcolm Beecher of Sherwood Park, Alberta. She will also be lovingly remembered by her extended family, her many friends and her best friend Duffer. Ardice was predeceased by her father Clarence Beecher, aunt Edna Hadland, greataunt Margaret Sanderson and great uncle Owen Sanderson. Born on February 26, 1955 in Craik, Saskatchewan, Ardice grew up on a farm near Girvin, Saskatchewan. She graduated from Davidson High School in 1973 and then graduated from Kelsey Institute as a Laboratory Technologist in 1975. She then settled in Regina, Saskatchewan and had two wonderful children Mark and Alison and worked at the Provincial Laboratory. In 1988, she moved her family to Calgary, Alberta and continued to work her professional career and finished at Calgary Lab Services. Ardice was an active Hockey Mom and volunteered at her children's school. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, hiking and exploring the Rocky Mountains where she met and fell in love with Peter Langill. Ardice was a loving mother and a dear friend to many and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Peter Lougheed Treatment Centre and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. A Memorial Service was held at Foothills Alliance Church in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at the Craik Cemetery on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest with her father Clarence. There will be a reception to follow. Mark and Alison, I'm not sure if you remember us from your days in Regina living next door. So sorry to hear of your mother's passing, she was a great friend and neighbour. She is in a safe place now, our prayers are with you.

"Friends are relatives you make for yourself" and Ardice had a wonderful gift of making her friends - family. I feel blessed and priviledged to have been her friend. She enriched my life in many ways and I will miss her terribly.
