Ardis B. Bowman

Ardis B. (Hill) Bowman, 87, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Bowman. Born in Haverhill, she was raised and educated in Massachusetts and Maine and was a graduate of Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, Maine. Mrs. Bowman was a resident of Stoughton for over 62 years. After raising her family, she worked at Thom McCann in Brockton as a computer manager for over 20 years, retiring at age 65. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods, shopping, taking care of her grandson Scott and her grandkids and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Bowman is survived by her children, Valerie A. Ford and her husband Kevin of Mont., formerly of Oakham, Jay A. Bowman of Ariz., and Dale R. Bowman and his wife Nancy of Brockton. She was the sister of Richard W. Hill of Okla. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her dog Poco. Private family services were held.
