Rudy Soria Obituary
Our Heavenly Father called home a great man, Rudy C. Soria, on Friday, April 30, 2010. Rudy, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all went to be with his son, Baby Rudy, in paradise at the age of 58. Rudy is survived by his wife Yolanda, daughters Elaine, Brandy, Katherine, and son David. Rudy was a proud grandfather of Nathaniel, Jonathan, Izabella, Gabriella, Isaac, Mary, Michele, Kadyn, and Elias Rocket. He was a faithful member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, and was well loved by all who met him for his wonderful sense of humor and generosity. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 8, at 10:00 AM at Concordia Lutheran Church located at 16801 Huebner Road. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church or MDA.

Dad,
I cant believe it's already been a month since you left us. I wish I can say it's gotten easier, but to be honest it has been the hardest month of my entire life thus far. It seems so fresh, the pain is too immense to describe. I wish I could have one more day, to tell you how much I've missed you since you've been gone. I feel like my life as I knew it ceased the day you were called home. Even though my selfishness wants you here with me, I know there was a higher calling for you. Dad, You left behind the best gift of all, your undying Love for all of us, and for that I am so thankful. Till I see your beautiful smile again........

Rudy, Although I never had the pleasure of meeting you in person, I feel like I have known you. Bryan and Vi have shared laughter and tears when they talk about you. You have been such a BLESSING to them. And I know that we will one day meet you in another place. I thank you for leaving such a beautiful mark on those whom you have loved, and those who love you...

Rudy, you were the best! I will miss your smiling face and your jokes via email. You were an incredible husband, dad and grandfather. I know Yolanda will treasure always the moments you shared. Rudy, your kindness and sense of humor even when you were so ill has made me think about my life and my sometimes selfish attitude. I hope that with you and God watching over me I too will become a kinder and more loving person. Thank you for being in my life! Until we meet again my wonderful nephew, I will be loving you always.

Dad. I miss you so much. As each day goes by, I think I get stronger, but yesterday my heart broke just like it did on April 30th @ 4:40am. And when I broke down I could only think to call you to tell you all about it so you could calm me down the way you always did. Oh how I wish I could hear your voice again. I am a 33 year old little girl who desperately needs her dad. And if I would have known that our time here on earth was limited I would've held onto each hug a little longer or maybe never have let go. I miss our talks about nothing and everything. Our talks were like Seinfeld episodes. I'll love you forever.

Dear Rudy,
I love you and think of you often. I wish I could have just hugged you one more time. Your love for Yolanda is like none other. I hope one day I find a man who adores his wife as much as you adored Yolanda. You still make me laugh. I remember a comment you made at my wedding that still makes me smile. You will be missed.

We were so sad to hear about your loss...Rudy was such a wonderful person...we were blessed to have known him and the Christ Our Savior family. He's probably amusing Jesus in heaven with his great sense of humor! May God comfort your family during this time. Rudy may not be with us in body but he'll live forever in our hearts!

Dad, It's been 2weeks since God called you home. I miss you so very much, I dont think a day has gone by without tears of sorrow and pain. I would give anything for 1 more hug & 1 more "I love you". I thank God for blessing me with 32years of having you as my Father,my best friend, and your never ending love for me, and our Family. Dad. Thank you so much for being my father. I am honored to be your daughter. The last 27 years hold so many precious memories of laughter and love shared with you. I'd give anything to feel your dad hug right now. While it's heartbreaking to know you're not here anymore, I know exactly where you are and I know someday I will once again feel the power of your hugs and the joy of your beautiful smile! We did did not have the pleasure of knowing you for long, but every moment spent together brightened up our lives. We only wish we would have met you much sooner. When we visited the cancer center, we always looked for you. You will be greatly missed.

Rudy, I'm so glad I got to know you through Bekkah and David. The first time I met you, one would have never guessed you hadn't known me before. Rudy was truly an amazing man that made me feel so welcome when I moved to San Antonio. I enjoyed his humor especially on days when I needed it. I'm glad that I got to know him and his family. Even though it has been years since I have seen him, I have never forgotten him. My deepest sympathy to his family and may all the wonderful messages bring you comfort and beautiful thoughts of Rudy.

Dad, grandpa, friend. I miss you. I miss you so much it hurts to breathe. I can't imagine the rest of my life without you. You are the most amazing father. I wish we had more time.
But I do thank God that I had you for 33 years. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. And thank you for loving the grandchildren the way you did. I'll never forget the way you would look at them like they were the most beautiful things you had ever laid eyes on.
