Ruth "Arlene" Norman Brown, 84, of Harmony, passed away, Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Brown was born April 30, 1938, in Irwin, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Dink Norman and Elva Lowry Norman. She graduated from Pitcairn High School's Class of 1956 in Pitcairn, Pa., and later received her master's degree in dance education from Dance Educators of America in New York City. She was married to the late Bobby James Brown, who passed away Oct. 1, 2001. Previously she owned her own dance studio in Pitcairn, Pa., and later retired as a supervisor from Gullistan Carpet. She loved her family, traveling, and was the prayer warrior for her family.

She is survived by five children, Bobby "Skip" Brown, Russell Brown, Robyn Medina, Mark Brown, Melissa Milcher; seven grandchildren, Mike Bulla, Elizabeth Thompson, Brandon Medina, Taylor Brown, Trevor Brown, Talley Rakes, Emily Milcher; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends Sunday, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., at Troutman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Harmony City Cemetery.
