Arlington-Lew Lewis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 27, 2014.
We Remember Them

At the rising of the sun and at its going down
We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter
We remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring
We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer
We remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn
We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends
We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us as
We remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength
We remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart
We remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share
We remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make
We remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs
We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us as
We remember them.

I am very proud to have had u as my dad. U have taught me so many things as I was growing up till I was on my own. Whenever we needed anything u got it for us or u made it for us especially our 8 track stereo. We where so happy to have had one & what made it so special was u made it. Everyday I think about u & all the things that u had made for us as we where growing up but most of all I miss hearing u play ur banjo & how u use to wake us up with the song deliverance how I share those stories on how ur banjo was our alarm clock. These r golden memories that I will keep forever cause u r forever in my heart I love u always @lex@ " Mom misses u alot"

Its been a while now not to long ago but I miss u dad I think about all the shoulda, coulda, wouldas even if I know ur in a better place.the dash between the day u were born till the day u left us was a very special line. it was a unique line that only u could have. I wrote an essay on u for english & it was titled my unique dad. My english teacher never gave it back to me & I got an A. I think she kept it for samples they use on other english classes in college. I love u & I miss u I would give anything just to c u & talk to u & give u a great big hug & tell I love u & im alright. Love u forever in our hearts ur daughter @lex@

This is not the way it should be! I'm the one that should have gone first. I am still having a hard time getting it through my thick skull, that I will never see you again. Marie, all your children, grand children, & to all the brothers & sisters, I send my heartfelt sorrow. Mere words can't express the feeling of grief that we all are feeling now, but with God's help we will be able to weather the storm! We all are richer for having known Arlington! MY LOVE TO ALL, Uncle Bill !!!

Mere words cannot express the sorrow & grief we feel at this time. I never thought "Ling" would go before me. I pray the Lord will grant you peace, in this time of sorrow! I know we all are better for having known Arlington!! Love you all. Uncle Bill........
