Armando (Mandis) Rodriguez, 86, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on November 29, 2017. He was born on September 8, 1931 to Mr. and Mrs. Jose and Rosa Rodriguez. His brothers Alfonso, Baldomero and Avelardo Rodriguez precede Mandis in death. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Catalina N. Rodriguez, sisters Elvia M. Viera, Irma Kimbro and brother-in-law George L. Kimbro Jr. Nephews and nieces also survive him. Mandis went to Bowie High School before joining the U.S. Army. Later he became a paratrooper for the Air force. He was employed with Tony Lama and retired after 27 years of service. Asides from being a true Dallas Cowboy fan, Mandis was an enthusiastic bowler and enjoyed going to the horse races. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 pm Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 N. Zaragoza. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Crestview Funeral Home at 12:00 pm. Committal Service to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Funeral Services Entrusted to Crestview Funeral Home.
