Arnie Clakley Obituary

Funeral services for Arnie N. Clakley Jr., 87, of Frankston, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009, in the chapel at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston, with the Revs. Pope and J.A. Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Frankston.

Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.

Mr. Clakley passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009, in Tyler.

He was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Henderson County to Levi and Nancy Clakley.

Mr. Clakley was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Frankston. He worked as a maintenance superintendent in the petroleum industry.

He is preceded in death by a son, Arnie Newton Clakley; brothers, Fred, Rufus, Andrew, Willie and Edmond; sisters, Mollie, Elvie, Dicie and Sarah Jane.

Survivors include wife, Lenora Clakley of Frankston; daughter, Barbara Bell of Frankston; brother, Ernest Clakley and wife Shirley of Tyler, George Clakley and wife Bonnie Jean of Carthage, and Levi Clakley and wife June of Noonday; grandchildren, Angie Lucas, Amy Martin and Lorie Lewis; great-grandchildren, Ashley Lucas, Brittany Lucas, Matthew Martin, Josh Martin, Makenna Lewis, Hannah Lewis and Kip Lewis; great-great-granddaughter, Alissa; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Martin, Bradley Lewis, Thomas Clakley and David Mewbourn.

The family will receive friends at from 6 to 8 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.
