News Death Notice
BLANKENSHIP, Arnold R. Age 84, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born May 27, 1930 to William and Emma (Goad) Blankenship in Ebon, KY. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War with an honorable discharge. He was a member of the World Harvest Church of God and the Middletown Moose Lodge # 501. He was a welder at Armco Steel for 33 years, retiring in 1986. Arnold enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping and also loved to carve wood items. Arnold is survived by a granddaughter, Kara M. Hensley of Middletown; great-granddaughters, Nicole, Autumn and Anna; half-brother, Robert Snyder of Dayton; sister-in-law and husband Mary and Clayton H. English of Middletown and very special friends who were his second family, The Savage's. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Blankenship in 2010; his parents; son, William Blankenship; daughter, Tamara Hensley and granddaughter, Kayla Hensley. Visitation will be held Monday, March 30, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Ray Phillips and Pastor Danny Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.bakerstevensparramore.com.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our families spent a lot of time together when I was younger and I have only fond memories of him. I will miss his Christmas cards with the warm messages inside. It was always so good to hear from him.
