Arnulfo G. Patiño, 89, of Buda Texas was called home to be with our Lord on Monday, March 20, 2017, after a courageous long battle with lung cancer.

Arnulfo was born in Del Rio, Texas on October 20, 1927. He served our military, honorably, in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was married to his beautiful wife Maria for 60 years. Arnulfo was a long-term resident of Buda Texas. He retired from CJ Holdings and he settled down where he greatly enjoyed interacting with his fellow neighbors and community residents. He was a true treasure to this community and he will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Maria del Carmen, son Enrique Patiño (Elizabeth) of Georgetown TX, Carmen Ramos (Joe) of Buda TX, Raquel Garza (Rene) of San Antonio TX, Ricardo Patiño (Denise) of Dallas TX, Raul Patiño (Melissa) of Laredo TX, Rene Patiño (Lillian) of San Antonio TX and Rosalinda Rivera (Juan) of Buda TX; his grandchildren Joseph Patiño, Savannah Patiño, Selina Ramos, Jesse Ramos, Vanessa Ramos, Rogelio Garza, Michelle Garza, Anthony Patiño, Jaime Jerman, Katy Jerman, Ashley Patiño, Amanda Patiño, Amber Patiño, Austin Patiño, Isabella Patiño, Christian Patiño, Giovanni Patiño, Michael Rivera, Alejandro Rivera and Analicia Rivera; his great-grandchildren Sierra Ramos, Sophia Ramos, Zachery Patiño, Joseph Patiño Jr., Nicholas Patiño and Eric.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Hector Arnulfo Patiño.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, March 24, 2017, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Celebration will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, 1100 Main Street, Buda, Texas. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
