Arthur F. Banville

Arthur F. Banville, 81, of Fall River, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. He was the husband of twenty-three years to Sylvia P. (Amaral) Banville. Ar thur was born in Somerset the son of the late Joseph A. and Althea (Zygeil) Banville. He graduated from High School. Mr. Banville served his country during the Korean War with the United States Air Force. He began his professional career working as a security officer for Nuclear Security Services and then at Charlton Memorial Hospital for many years, retiring in 2007. While working he earned his associates degree from BCC and served on the community advisory board and Scepter and Scroll Society at BCC. Arthur was a former member of Corky Row Club and the Polish National Society. Survivors besides his wife are a daughter: Michelle C. Morris of Fall River; a son: Paul W. Banville of Tiverton; a step daughter: Deborah Bruce of New York; three step sons: Joseph Collard of Rhode Island; Roland Collard of Fall River; Richard Collard of Fall River; three sisters: Althea Medeiros of Fall River; Arlene Ferreira of Fall River; Susan Higgins of Florida; five grandchildren, along with a nephew. His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 10:30am in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow with Military Honors in Oak Grove Cemetery.
