NEW BEDFORD -- Arthur Hebert Jr. aged 73 years, of Acushnet, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Hathaway Manor after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Beatrice (Rebello) Hebert for 36 years and was the father of Kathy, Donna and Arthur W. Hebert, all of New Bedford. Also survived by 4 stepsons, Michael Girard, Steven Girard, David Girard and Kenneth Girard, all of New Bedford; 4 brothers, Robert Hebert of Newport, RI, Dennis Hebert of New Bedford, Danny and Ronald Hebert both of Boston; a sister, Jeannette Costa of New Bedford; 4 special grandchildren, Brandon, Kenneth, Bronte and Jordan Girard, 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hebert was the son of the late Arthur and Blanche (Dube) Hebert.
He was born in New Bedford and was formerly employed as an electrician and lineman for Boston Edison and recently as a maintenance man at the YMCA.
Mr. Hebert's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph - St. Theresa's Church, New Bedford, Tuesday at 11 A.M. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements by the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St.
