Arthur Earl Hickenlooper

HICKENLOOPER, ARTHUR EARL March 25, 1943 - December 6, 2004. Art Hickenlooper died Monday, December 6, 2004, after a long battle with cancer. A funeral service celebrating Art's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2004, at Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary located at 6801 SW Sunset Highway, Portland, OR. Art was born March 25, 1943, in Portland, OR to Dorothy Mae and Earl Hickenlooper. He attended Madison High School for one year. His family then moved to San Jose, CA, where Art attended and graduated from Camden High School. During his high school years, he was active as a leader in Youth for Christ. Art worked many jobs, and often many at once. He was a car salesman, an insurance salesman, a milkman, an owner of a small construction business and a computer programmer at PGE for 28 years, during which time he met his wife, Jennifer Busch Hickenlooper. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Busch Hickenlooper; his mother, Dorothy Hickenlooper; his two children, Ben Hickenlooper and Kristin Ornelas; his sister, Sharon Thornagle; and his four grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah and Joy Hickenlooper, and Sarah Ornelas. He is also survived by many friends who know him through running, work and church. Art is much loved and greatly missed.
