I knew Arthur for almost 21 years. He was the best of the best. I grieve him deeply. Dan, Arthur's family, Dan's family, and Arthur's friends know I love them all and wish our sorrow may become some day the warmth of loving recollection of this wonderful life we were privileged to share.

Dear Mrs. Scott and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Art's death. He was always so fun-loving and adventuresome. I truly enjoyed all of the times we spent together. I remember when we first met @ FJH in algebra, the only time I ever got sent to the principal's office, for talking to Art Scott. He must have led a remarkable life. I am sure he will be missed by all who knew him, and I guess that if God, as they say, has a sense of humor also, he and Art are looking down on us all now and swapping stories! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Arthur was one of the funniest and most decent people I ever met. It always seemed like he knew some secret about life and beauty. I'm sorry he's gone.

Judy,
I am so sorry I can't be in Longview for the memorial service. Although I did not know Arthur personally I feel like I did through our friendship. I am sorry you, your family, and Dan are going through this. It sounds like Arthur touched so many people's lives that this world has to be a better place because of him. I hope you find comfort in your memories of him. You are my dearest friend and
my thoughts and prayers are with you.
