Arturo Carrillo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 6, 2016.
Arturo Carrillo
Arturo Carrillo passed away at his home in Redlands Ca, on October 25. to join his beloved wife Edith in heaven, who preceded his death only 9 weeks earlier. Anyone that was lucky enough to know Art can affirm that his humor, talent and love for his family will be most remembered. As a member of the U.S. Army he met and married the love of his life, Edith Gretchen Carrillo while in Germany during WWII before coming back to the U.S. and settling in Redlands, Ca. During his tour in the U.S. Army, Art was on the Army's boxing team. He ultimately retired in 1952 at the rank of corporal. He worked several jobs before being employed by Alumax, where he worked 20 years before his retirement. He was an active member of the American Legion and Eagles, where his love for singing often made him a master at karaoke because he had the voice of a star. So many memories of his weekly dedication to singing and serenading his wife with her favorite songs like "Besa Me Mucho" come to mind.
He is survived by his three sons Randy, Roland and Ray Carrillo, a sister Lola, two brothers Richard and Joe, grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In honor of his memory there will be a viewing held Wednesday, November 9th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Harrison Ross Mortuary located at 738 E Highland Ave San Bernardino, CA 92404. A service will be held Thursday, November 10th, beginning at 11am at the mortuary, followed by a procession to the Riverside National Cemetery, which is open to friends and family. At the conclusion of the ceremony, there will be a reception at the American Legion Post 650 located at 1532 Church St. Redlands 92374 from 3 to 6 pm.

En momentos tan difíciles como este podemos hallar consuelo en las palabras de Isaías 25:8 donde Dios nos promete que muy pronto le pondrá fin a la muerte y a todo lo que nos hace sufrir.
