After working in the petroleum profession for several years, Asa and his family relocated from the Houston area to Dallas in 1963. He there began a new career in general construction with carpenter brothers, where he was vice president until 1972 where he founded HCCI. After a very successful twenty year stint as a GC in the DFW area serving customers such as: Marriott Hotels, Kraft Foods, Texas Instruments, Southwestern Bell Telephone, Vought Aircraft Industries, Eagle Auto Dealerships, Plastics Mfg, Trammell Crow Companies, Dallas Power and Light, he retired in 1992 to spend time with his beloved wife of almost 62 years, Billie Francis Carpenter; his children Vicky & Dean Crenshaw; Mark & Marie Holleman; Chris & Denise Holleman; Michael & Elizabeth Holleman; his 16 grandchildren, and his 17 great grandchildren. Asa and Billie have been long time supports of Dallas Theological Seminary and Wycliff Bible Translators. They are one of the founding families of Faith Bible Church in Cedar Hill where Asa was an elder for twenty five years before moving their membership to Midlothian Bible Church, where they are currently devoted members. Asa and Billie are charter board members of Titus 2:4 Ministries and served many years on the board of Don Anderson Ministries. In lieu of flowers the Holleman Family would suggest donations be made to the Dallas Theological Seminary in honor of Asa and Billie Holleman.

Way back in 1955 Asa and I were engineers at the Phillips refinery in Old Ocean. He built his own house (contracted the various parts) which was very impressive in my mind. Sorry to be so late with the encomium.
