Ashanti Williams

Ashanti Taliah Williams earned her angel wings on January 7, 2015. She was twelve years old. Although her time with us was brief, Ashanti touched and enriched many lives. Her life was one of abounding joy, happiness, and love. Ashanti adored her mother, whom she often called her best friend and hero. Ashanti was very close with her younger sister, Chantal, and younger brothers, Cartea and Devin. She loved playing games with them and helping her mother take care of them. Ashanti had a brilliant flair for fashion and was always "camera ready" for the many photos she snapped with her family and her friends. She was gifted athletically and had a competitive spirit. She loved playing football and running track and was excitedly looking forward to being a member of the Westview Middle School Football Team and Track Team. Ashanti's friends remember her as the one with the biggest smile who could always make everyone laugh. Her teachers remember her always helping others, even people whom she had never met.

Ashanti is survived by her loving mother, Nicole, sister Chantal, brothers Cartea and Devin, and many extended family members who loved Ashanti very much.

We will always remember Ashanti's radiant smile, contagious laughter, and caring personality. Although we miss Ashanti tremendously and our hearts ache for her, we know she is busy making friends in Heaven.

A viewing will be held Friday, January 23rd, from 2:00-5:00 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Pflugerville Texas. There will be a memorial service Saturday, January 24th, at 10:00am at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. A burial service will follow. Ashanti loved the colors pink and purple, so we request that anyone in attendance honor her by wearing these colors to her viewing and funeral.
