Ashford-Corey Hastings Obituary
Ashford-Corey Devaugh Hastings (known to many as Corey), was born February 7, 1980 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN to Walter Alvin Hastings and Alethea Elaine Young-Lenoir. He had a welcoming smile that warmed the heart of many. He was a fun loving person that loved posing for pictures and telling factual stories "of old."
Ashford accepted Christ at an early age at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. He was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Alive Hospice Residence, Nashville, TN. He was educated in the private schools of Kansas City Missouri School District.
He is preceded in death by his father: Walter Alvin Hastings; grandparents: Paul and Connie C. Hastings, Frank A. and Theresa P. Young; brother: Christopher Andre' Lenoir; sister: Rosaline Michelle Hastings.
Left to cherish his memory: mother: Alethea Elaine Young-Lenoir; brothers: Lamont Hastings (Nicole), Shane Lenoir; sisters: LaShanda Richardson (Jerromye), Bonessa McClenon (Timothy-Deceased); Uncles: Stanley Hastings, Frank "Tony" Young, Jr. (Marie), Stanley Ish Young, Sr.; Aunts: Peggy C. Harper (Jeff), Rebecca L. Woods (Johnny), Renee McGowan; and a hosts of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m.- noon. on Saturday February 3, 2024 at Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville. Rev. Dr. Willa Estell officiating.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home.
