To the dear family and friends of this beautiful lady. As a mum who lost her child far too soon, I wanted to offer my sincerest condolences. Ashlea's story touched me greatly after watching Black Friday today. Her photos are beautiful and her life is a great testimony of being a loved and valued member of her community. What do you say to someone who touched your life in such a deeply profound yet playful way? What you taught me, what we shared in our friendship I will never take lightly. I carry your heart with my daily, every minute. I love you, Ashlea Ann, so very much. The loss of your presence here is so strong & so heartbreaking. I still wait for you to walk through that back door. I catch myself going to your name to call you then immediately have to catch my breath. You are missed & loved by so, so many & I'm not at all surprised. You just had that way about you. It's hard staying in our apartments with you gone, but then I have feelings of selfishness feeling like if we left we'd leave you. I love you, my precious friend. I'll carry you always, Ash.

My heart breaks for Ashlea's family. Ashlea was an amazing, strong, respectful, sincere, happy person. I've thought a lot about Ashlea this holiday season. She was a great person to be around. I know God has a special place for Ashlea. It's a place where she can show others how to smile and just be positive. Great role model for sure! You are missed very much!

Ashlea, It's taken me some time to even gather words to say. How do you say See Ya Later, to one of the greatest people that ever walked into your life? I love you and I miss you. We all do. I had no idea how many lives you effected, but I'm not surprised. You were my go to, all the phone calls and silly messages. Greatly and deeply missed. You will forever live in our hearts. Ashlea was so awesome when Brittney passed in 2013, which was when I met her. She was a wonderful person, very compassionate and kind. She will be missed!

I didn't know Ashley at all. I am so broken hearted that this happened to this beautiful, precious woman. I am so distraught thinking about the pain the family and friends are enduring right now. Such a sensless thing. She's touched my life and I've never even met her. God bless you all!!

My heart is filled with such deep sadness for your loss, I cannot imagine the pain you feel now, I hope you know that my loving thoughts are with you.
Monica, I know the love for Ashlea started forming before you even knew her, and I know that love will continue to grow and not be broken. I have heard you share countless stories about the girls growing up, and I saw, with each story, the love in your heart for them. Ashlea was a jewel among us, always serving as a shining example of kindness, love, compassion, and fun.
Although distance and time took us in different directions, she was always loved. Through Jared's stories, I know when he and Ashlea were together; their bonds were reinforced by the simplest of hugs, or a playful banter. He has told me many times that, no matter what was transpiring in her life, Ashlea always knew how to make people feel special and put others first. How lucky this world was to have had her.
God gave us Ashlea and she will remain with us through the rest of our lives, so close yet not with us in body any longer.
I am sorry I was unable to be there with Jared and the girls.

Ash was an amazing person with a beautiful soul that will forever be remembered for being a wonderful daughter, a loyal friend, and someone who lived life to the fullest. Her laugh will forever resonate in our hearts and minds! I would like to tell her family what kind of person I felt she was...but I don't believe I could ever do her justice AND they already know how amazing she was. She touched so many lives in so many ways no matter how great or how small. Although, I will forever yearn to have her here on earth and in my life. I stand firm in the belief that I will once again be by her side up in Heaven and that she is standing by the side of our Heavenly Father looking down and watching over us.
