Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 16 to Nov. 17, 2009.
Ashlee Nicole Drouillard, lifelong resident of Roseville, died peacefully Sunday evening, November 15, 2009, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 14 years of age. Ashlee was born in Clinton Township on May 9, 1995, daughter of Timothy J. and Naomi (Fowke) Drouillard. As she grew up in a loving household in Roseville, Ashlee enjoyed cheerleading and basketball. She loved to go horseback riding, swimming and playing video games. Ashlee loved spending time with her friends and enjoyed going to the mall with them. A student of Roseville High School, she lived life to its fullest. Ashlee has taught so many people about passion, courage, unconditional love and peace, that her strength through this courageous battle has made a huge impact on so many lives. A beautiful and compassionate young lady, she will be deeply missed by the many she has touched in her lifetime. Ashlee is survived by her loving and devoted parents, Timothy and Naomi; cherished sister, Emily Alice; dear grandparents, Alice & William Fowke and Donna & Roy Drouillard; beloved aunts and uncles, Sharon & Bill Fowke, Mary & Ed Fowke, Roxann & John Myroniuk, Sylvie & Chris Drouillard, Kelly Drouillard and Donna & Phil Giannini; and by her cousins, Cindy, Jenni, EJ, Sarah, Shane, Christopher, Kaitlin, Anthony, Daniel, Emme, Paul and Mikey. Visitation will be held in Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Wednesday 5pm-9pm, Thursday 12noon-9pm and Friday 10am until the time of funeral service at 11am. You cant measure ones legacy by the friends they have or the things they own.
The true measure is by the lives they touch.
With this in mind Ashlee's legacy is one for the ages.
Ashlee was a true inspiration.
Love you and will miss you always.

Emily,Tim,Naomi, friends, and family.I don't know you personally, but I did know Ashlee since I was in 2nd grade. She was always such a bright person, with the biggest smile placed upon her flawless face.I could never see past that. She has shown me alot,as well as she has shown others.I can tell you that you all must be a very loving family, because she expressed it alot.It was time for Ashlee to be in God's hands though as the Angel she was meant to be, though she was all along. My prayers go to you and I wish you great recovery over such a loss....

Emily, Naomi, and Tim,
I am sorry I never got the opportunity to teach Ashlee. Having gotten to know Emily over the past few years I am sure I missed out on a wonderful opportunity to meet such a determined young lady. Take pride in the years you had her to enjoy, and comfort in the knowledge she has merely moved on to a better place.

"My children went to school with Ashlee at Fountain. I can remember her as just a small girl she was always so nice and caring of others. I watched her cheer and play basketball many times. My son use to chase her around the playground. My daughter enjoyed some of those mall trips with Ashlee. She will be missed greatly by many. Dear Mr. & Mrs. Drouillard

We noticed your lovely daughter Ashlee's picture in the paper. Two months ago we lost our beautful daughter Carrie to cancer at age 27 and like Ashlee she was a courageous and inspirational young woman throughout her illness. Like Ashlee, Carrie loved horseback riding and, in fact, Carrie graduated from veterinary school this past May and hoped to own her own horse one day. We are truly sorry for your loss and we encourage you to draw from Ashlee's strength and courage to sustain you through this difficult time. We will keep you in our prayers and we hope God's loving care will guide you as well. We also used the services of Faulmann and Walsh Funeral Home and were very grateful for their compassionate care and services. We encougage you to take advantage of the grief counseling sessions that they will offer you. It has been a great comfort to us to share our grief experiences with others who are facing similar circumstances. Once again, our sincere sympathy for the loss of Ashlee. Know that she will never be forgotten and she will continue to be an inspiration to others lives whether they knew her or not.

Ashlee and I played basketball together in elementary school and we knew each other because of our parents being in PTO together. She was always nice and fun to be around. Throughout her cancer struggle I kept her in my thoughts and prayers. I am so glad to have known her and she has inspired me to live life to the fullest and make everyday count. An angel joined the ranks in heaven and I know she'll be watching over us giving us the courage she had to keep fighting. Lots of Love, Ellyse Vogel
