Ashley Cloer Obituary
She was born on September 16, 1984, in Iredell County and was a daughter of William Grant Lowe of Harmony and Kay Ailey DeVore of Union Grove. Ashley was employed with Captain's Galley and was a devoted mother and wife who also enjoyed singing.
In addition to her father and mother, she is survived by her husband, Brian Cloer whom she married on February 17, 2007; a son, Ean Cloer; a daughter, Kailey Cloer; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elene Ailey of Olin; her step-father, Byron Devore of Union Grove; a sister, Amanda Lowe of Union Grove; a brother, Cullen DeVore of Union Grove; two step-brothers, Jeff DeVore of Statesville and Steve DeVore of Mooresville; a step-sister, Amanda McLain of Statesville; her father-in-law, Mr. John Cloer of Statesville; and a brother-in-law, Jason Cloer and wife, Christine, of Taylorsville.
She ws precdeded in death by a twin brother, Brandon Lowe in 2005.
Services celebrating Ashley's life will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Dr. John D. McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Education Fund for Ashley's Children, c/o Mrs. Kay DeVore, 868 Union Grove Road, Union Grove, N.C. 28689.
Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

I am sorry to say that we did not know Ashley personally. My family & I are members of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church where we are in Sunday School with John & Kim Cloer. We have been praying for Ashley constantly. We are so sorry for your loss. I pray that God will comfort you in the days, weeks, months, and years to come.

Ashley was such an amazing girl and will always hold a special part in my heart. She was so full of life and the most courageous girl I knew. Her family was so special to her and she made a great mommy. She had the type of smile that would cure everybody's bad day. I will always remember the fun little games me and ashley played while working at the good old galley. I learned so much about living life from her because she always lived hers to the fullest. I am praying for all of the family and friends that she has left behind. Just remember her smiling face and beatiful voice is singing down to us at this very moment:) I love you Ashley.

Kay,several years ago I walked into the Galley one night to start work. I introduced myself and two of the cutest "kids" came running at me! IT'S AMBER'S MOMMA!!! Then I remember the twins Am went to Harmony with. lol Those "kids" became two of my best, dearest friends. The Lord took Brandon way too soon. A part of our little Ashley went with him. Now For some reason he needs Ashley. I don't pretend to understand why. I just Thank him for the time I got to spend with her, in this life. When I came home this year for my birthday I had a special treat.I got to spend part of it with her. It will always be very very special to me.
Kay, Brian,you and the family,all have my have my love, prayers,and sympathy.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Ashley's death. Many years ago I had the opportunity to substitute teach for Ashley at NIHS when she was a freshman. Shortly after this I was in Captain's Galley and Ashley was my waitress. Ashley would often sit with me when I was in the restaurant since I was by myself. Ashley told me she laughed so hard while I was her substitute that she almost got in trouble in another class. Ashley was so sweet and pretty. She brightened my day when I used to see her at Captain's. I know Ashley was broken hearted after the loss of her twin, Brandon. I lost contact with Ashley after Brandon's death and after Ashley's marriage. I would always ask about Ashley on my few occasions in Captain's. I'm glad Ashley was able to leave a legacy of a son and a daughter. Ashley will never be forgotten and I will never forget her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this time.
