Ashley M. Ramer

Ashley M. Ramer, 26, of Kittanning, entered into her eternal life Wednesday, March 2, 2011, surrounded by her family at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 14, 1984, in Kittanning, the daughter of Mark and Beverly (Verner) Ramer. Ashley was a 2002 graduate of Elderton High School. After graduation, she continued her education, achieving a degree as a medical and pharmaceutical technician. She was employed with Diamond Drug of Indiana until the onset of her illness. God gave Ashley a special gift of touching people's lives no matter where she went. She was loved by all who knew her, and was known for her generosity, kind heart, great sense of humor and fondness for animals - particularly her two puppies, Sassy and Gigi. Ashley loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed hunting and four-wheeling with her dad, brother and uncles. She also liked to shop with her mom, sister-in-law and aunts and play with her nephews and niece. Ashley was truly an amazing person that will be missed by all who had the privilege to call her their friend. She leaves behind to carry on her memory her parents, her brother, Joshua R. Ramer and his wife Jessica of Kittanning; her two nephews, Kameron and Wyatt Ramer and her niece, Peyden Ramer, all of Kittanning; her fiance, Tobias Thomasson, of Butler; her paternal grandparents, William and Lotta Mae Ramer, of Kittanning; her maternal grandparents, Hiram "Reed" and Ruth Verner, of Rural Valley; five uncles, Dennis Ramer, Matthew Ramer and Luke Ramer, all of Kittanning, Randy Verner, of Elderton, and Terry Verner, of Rural Valley; two aunts, Kathy Graham and her husband, Allan, of Ford City, and Nancy Wolfe and her husband, Ron of Templeton; and many friends. Ashley was preceded in death by her uncle, Timothy Ramer; and her aunt, Cheryl Ramer. Relatives and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the CLARK CHAPEL OF THE BAUER FUNERAL HOME INC., 238 South Main St., Elderton. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Whitesburg Presbyterian Cemetery, Whitesburg, Armstrong County.
