Aubrey's light will continue to shine every time I think of her smiling face and indomitable spirit. No matter what came along in life -- good or bad -- Aubrey took it all in stride like the champion Christian she was and is now even more.
Pam, Kathy, Becky, Robin and all who loved her -- please accept my heartfelt condolences. I loved her, too.

A powerful mix of strength and love, Mrs. Cooke will be missed by many. I cherish the memories of being in her home, horse show weekends and hearing her Faith.

Robin, thank you for sharing your Nanaw with your "Barn" friends. Celebrate the wonderful life she lived as she continues to serve God, now in Heaven.

Thoughts and prayers,

Aubrey was one incredible woman. She came alongside me after the death of my former husband to provide her guidance and her wisdom. I can't help but believe that she must have a million stars in her crown! Although our loss is heavy for such a warrior, Heaven welcomes her with open arms. Bless you all in your time of grief.

"She was a mentor." Truer words were never written. Mrs. Cooke, my next-door neighbor, gave me my very first job cutting the lawn of her home on Boeke Ave. I was not a very good grounds keeper starting out and Mrs. Cooke would have been within her rights to dismiss me and find someone else. But she didn't. She took me around the yard, she explained her expectations, and had me do it again. Through her I eventually built a client base of 5 homes I cut weekly. I've never forgotten her patience and example --- and that of the entire Cooke family. Our sympathies and prayers are with each of you during this difficult time. With time, may peace again be yours.

Sorry for your loss. She will be missed. Aubrey Cooke was a blessing to everyone she met. It was at a youth group in her home that I came to Christ back in 1973. I'll never forget her.

Aubrey many years ago gave me the best parenting advise ever...I have five children and she taught me when I was really stressed and did not know what to do... she said lock yourself in the bathroom and pray..." Dear God when I leave this room let my words and actions be yours and not mine" It works every time. God is Good always and all ways and so was Aubrey.
