Saddens me to say goodbye to Augie Buchheit who has been a dear friend of our family for many years. He will be missed, but never forgotten. My condolences to Augie's wife Josephine, his children and all of his family. I met Augie almost 30 years ago when I joined Dino's golf club. We shared the love of golf and also the privilege of working for the BPD. He would tell me stories about what it was like when he worked for the BPD. I have not seen or spoken to him in several years, but remember all the good times we had on our golf outings to Shenvalle and Myrtle Beach . From the day I met him I knew he wasa special person. He will be dearly missed.

My condolences to Josie, and Augie's children. Augie was at the top of my list of very good friends. I have known Augie since 1969 in the BCPD. We later worked together in the Homicide Unit. We lived together in Rosedale, along with Ben Brannock for a couple of years in the late 70's. Augie was a gentlemen and a very good police officer. I will miss our breakfast get togethers at the Double-T. We were both Marines, and Augie never missed calling me on November 10th - Marine Corps Birthday. He gave it the good fight...rest in peace Marine. I will see you at our next duty station.
