August Roberts (Augie) Obituary
Born November 22nd, 1940, in Rome, Indiana. He returned to his heavenly father on September 14th, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lula Roberts; his son Ronnie Roberts and his four sisters and their husbands; Dorothy Dunaway (Joe) Rita Coomer (Kenny) Patty O'Bryan (Jimmy) Barbara Stambaugh (Glen) He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Jan Roberts, daughter Kym Roberts, daughter in law Diane Roberts, his adopted son Chico Martinez (Theresa) five grandchildren, Bryan Roberts (Cara) Brittany Gibson, Brandon Nohalty (Monaka) Bryce Nohalty (Maggie) and Alicia Martinez-Hoskins (Ryan) Seven great grandchildren; sister Margie Hall (Jim) and many nieces and nephews who will dearly miss him.
Augie was a US Army Veteran who served in Germany in the late 50s. He retired from the Old Naval Ordnance Station Louisville KY after 28 years of civilian service. He was a lifetime member of the KY AMVETS Post 61 and the American Legion.
Augie and Jan spent their winters on Pine Island, Florida. He was avid fisherman, golfer, pilot and a karaoke fool. He had his own signature drink (The Augie Doggie Special) Augie never met a stranger and was liked by everyone.
Per Augie's request cremation was chosen and no funeral service.

There are so many memories about Augie. Having known him over 50 yrs. He was always the life of the party and I don´t think he ever was in a bad mood. He was a great guy and loved his family and friends. I´m proud to one of those friends!!!! May you rest in peace.....

My husband and I had the privilege to me Augie and his crew several years ago at a bar singing karaoke. Augie was bigger than life and always made everyone feel fabulous! Jan and Kym, you both are in our hearts and prayers. Augie and Jeff are drinking and enjoying karaoke as we cry.
