Augustine Kalusuc Kasgnoc

KASGNOC, Augustine "Gus" Kalusuc, 76, of Waddell, Arizona, originally from Nome, Alaska, passed away on December 27, 2016, in Goodyear, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Catherine Kasgnoc. He is survived by his loving children, Nathaniel Dale Peter, Kathleen Kasgnoc Prochnow, Adam Kasgnoc Sr., and Adrianne Kelly Kasgnoc; his beloved grandchildren, Dominique Peter, Cory Peter,Talon Peter, Kodi Youngman, Brad Youngman, Tomas Paniataaq, Whitney Youngman, Lauren Prochnow Bruce, Eric Prochnow, Adam Prochnow, Nicholas Prochnow, Adam Kasgnoc Jr., Lauren Kasgnoc, Victoria Nicklin, Jason Kasgnoc, Daniel Gomez; his beloved great-grandchildren, Alex Youngman, Amber Youngman, Aliyah Youngman, Samuel Olivares, Kamille Youngman, Charlotte Youngman, Lorelei Youngman, Calliope Youngman, Dominick Gomez, and Noah Gomez; his brothers, Dennis Killarzoac Kasgnoc of Holdenville, Oklahoma, and Robert Kasgnoc, of Arizona; his sisters, Rosemary Heinz, of Anchorage, Alaska, Agnes Miller, of Nome, Alaska, and Clara Roberts, of Palmer, Alaska. "Gus" graduated from Copper Valley High School, Copper, Alaska, Class of 1961. He was a fisherman and a hunter that fed his family many times with his catch of the day. He was an avid sports "Junkie", a loyal fan of the Oakland Raiders, Oakland A's, and Phoenix Suns. He enjoyed reading the newspaper cover-to-cover, and completing the daily crossword puzzle. The letters and cards he wrote to all of us, were written with such style and grace. "Gus" was not only a treasured father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, but he was an uncle, cousin, and friend, who will be forever missed by all who knew him. The Memorial Service was held at Our Lady of Victory Church Mission, at Mish Ki Road, in Sacaton, Arizona, on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 8:00 AM.
