Aurelia Roos Obituary

Aurelia Kern Roos, 102, of Louisville, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Sacred Heart Village. She was a native of Dale, IN, and a member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Roos, and a son, Raymond C. Vessels. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia R. Goss of Wingate, NC, and Bernice F. Anastasio; a son, Richard K. (Anna B.) Vessels; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Her funeral Mass will be held at noon Friday at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church, 2931 Pindell Avenue, with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Thursday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Pres-ton Highway. Memorial gifts may be made to Mass of the Air or to Sacred Heart Village.

I am sorry I did not hear of Aurelia's death sooner from my sister, Ann Langley. Aurelia was such a joy to visit at Sacred Heart Village . My deepest sympathy to all her family, and love and prayers

and may we all remember her beautiful smile.

I am a volunteer at SHV, and I just loved your Mother..she gave me starts of her prized African violets, which I will cherish, (if they live). She was a sweet lady. I have been gone a few weeks, and did not know she was ill, so I was surprised to hear she had passed..I know she is in a happier place, with lots of beautiful flowers..

I met daughter Patricia on the day of the Derby Parade, and I wore the Tigger costume.......
