A celebration party will be held for Austin at Party Central Family Fun Center, 4401 Viking Drive, Bossier City, LA on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.
Austin was a member of The Simple Church. He enjoyed swimming, playing video games, playing basketball, climbing trees, fishing and wrestling.
He is survived by his parents, Mickey James and Georga Faith Griego; siblings, Kevin Michael Griego, Megin Savana Griego, Destiny Denise Griego; grandparents, Denise Chambers, George and Wanda Huhn, James and Lois Stegall; aunts and uncles, Hope Henry, Lane Huhn, Debbie and husband Chris Maloney, Sammi and husband Tim Dunn, Christi and husband James Pinckard, Preston and wife Patrisha Stegall, Robert and wife Sherri Moseley and numerous cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Jude Children's Hospital, the staff of LSU Hospital Pediatrics Floor and The Simple Church.

Austin I am so proud of you never anything negative said about you. Spread your wings and fly free. I will forever miss you and promise never to forget you. I miss you so much no matter how cool you wanted to be or look you always had time and wanted a hug or kiss from your mommy or daddy no matter where we were or who was around. I love you.

I met Austin in the Grizzly House elevator while my daughter was being treated at st. Jude for a brain tumor. I was so struck by this amazingly sweet young man! My heart breaks for your family. God bless you.

I didn't know Austin, but I did know his story. I am so sorry for all of the family. He fought the good fight. Denise, my prayers are with you and all of your family at this time. I didn't know Austin but I knew his sister. I know she cared about him more than anything. He was all she ever talked about to me. I'm glad I got to get to know him through her talks. You were such a strong soilder and we will all see you soon. Watch over all of us. <3

My dear brother you will always be, the one in heaven waiting for me. Your life was short but you were full of love, a gift you shared from your father above. During your illness you fought with great courage, for the ones that you loved you wished them not be discouraged. Words can't take the pain away that ya'll are feeling, I know. I'm just going to tell you I fell in love with your son when we were at Traci's during Christmas.
