Austin was an incredibly kind person who I was lucky to know. We met working on an independent film and we had talked at length about his aspirations, his dreams, and how we'd one day work together again. He was a good friend who was always willing to let me crash on his couch when I was in town. He was bright, and funny, and had impeccable taste in music. So thankful I had the chance to know him and learn from him. He will be missed.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Austin's passing. He brought much joy to those around him during our time at UT Austin and Los Angeles. He will be greatly missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
