Austin Klein Obituary

Austin Sorensen Klein
July 1, 1997 - March 3, 2021
Kansas City, Missouri - Austin Sorensen Klein was born on July 1, 1997 in Kansas City, MO to his parents, Greg and Sue Klein. He passed from this world on March 3, 2021. He was a rambunctious kid, and enjoyed running around with his brothers and playing and creating new games to master with friends. He attended high school locally at BVNW, where his musicals and plays were always the favorite of family and friends.
Austin started college at Notre Dame, where he was a part of the Men's Glee Club. He graduated from the University of Texas-Austin and wanted to pursue a career in the Film industry.
Austin was a kind, intelligent, patient and wonderful man with a passion for literature and the arts. He sang often, even winning the 2016 KC Superstar competition, which showcased the best high school vocal talent that the KC Metro area had to offer. He inspired everyone around him to be better, to think about the difficult questions, and most importantly, to laugh.
Austin is survived by his loving parents and his adoring older brothers, Kevin and Keith, along with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. All of us love him very much.
Visitation at Mt. Moriah will be on March 12th, from 6pm to 8pm. Austin will be buried in a private ceremony on March 13. Please go to the Mt. Moriah website for more information.

Austin was an incredibly kind person who I was lucky to know. We met working on an independent film and we had talked at length about his aspirations, his dreams, and how we'd one day work together again. He was a good friend who was always willing to let me crash on his couch when I was in town. He was bright, and funny, and had impeccable taste in music. So thankful I had the chance to know him and learn from him. He will be missed.
