Autumn Faucheux, 46, a radiant soul whose life was a testament to selflessness and love, departed from this world far too soon on April 17, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and joy.
Autumn was born on October 13, 1977, in Ft. Stockton, Texas to Dennis and Lynn Yeager and became the beloved older sister to Stuart Yeager. As a child, she participated in various activities including dance and horseback riding. She moved to Midland, Texas in 1992 attending Midland High School and playing on the varsity basketball team. Autumn was cheerful, outgoing, and witty, even being voted class clown her senior year. She attended Texas Tech University from 1996 - 2000 and studied early childhood education to pursue her passion for teaching. While there, she met her college sweetheart and future husband, Chad Faucheux, who was the love of her life. They married on June 2, 2000, and moved to
Austin, Texas where Autumn began her teaching career. Soon they discovered their mutual love for the outdoors and loved to spend their free time out on the lake. Autumn welcomed their first daughter, Ellie, into the world in 2003. She then decided to resign from teaching to stay home and devote her time to raising her children. They welcomed two more children a few years later, Parker, 2007, and Ava, 2010. In 2014, the Faucheux family decided to move from Austin to
Fredericksburg, Texas where Autumn began her career in property management. She was actively involved in her children's lives, volunteering at their schools and sporting events whenever possible.
Autumn was a beacon of light in the lives of her family, friends, and community. Her unwavering devotion to the happiness of others knew no bounds. Whether it was through her infectious laughter, her comforting embrace, or her words of encouragement, she had a unique gift for uplifting spirits and spreading joy wherever she went. Her heart overflowed with an unparalleled warmth, and her greatest joy came from brightening the days of those around her.
She is survived by her husband, Chad, her children, Ellie, Parker, and Ava Faucheux, of
Fredericksburg, Texas, her mother, Lynn Yeager of
Dallas, Texas, her niece and nephew, Hannah and Hudson Yeager and her father-in-law Jerry Faucheux along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her brother, Stuart Yeager, of Midland, Texas, her father, Dennis Yeager of
Fredericksburg, Texas, grandparents, Richard and Simone Stewart, and Henry Leon and Virginia Yeager all of
Colorado City, Texas, and mother-in-law, Barbara Faucheux of
Fredericksburg, Texas.
A celebration of Autumn's life will be held on Thursday, April 25th at 10:00 am at Swallow's Eve in
Fredericksburg, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ASAN
autisticadvocacy.org , in honor of her lifelong commitment to spreading happiness and light to those in need.
Rest in eternal peace, dear Autumn. Your love will continue to guide us, and your memory will forever be a blessing.
