I met Butch in the early 80's at a martial art seminar. He was kind, friendly and passionate. There was something special about him and we hit it off right away. He gave me a knife he said was made by his brother. I have cherished it to this day. We have not seen each other in over 30 years but we have stayed in touch and maintained our friendship. It saddens my heart to hear Butch crossed the great divide...but I will hug his neck on the other side.

I never met "Uncle Butch" but I felt like I'd known him my whole life. He was friends with two of my very best friends, Judy and Kim, and I fell in love with him immediately when we became friends on FB. I could feel the love he had for his family and friends. His love and devotion expressed through his poetic words rang true and touched so many hearts. I'm sorry I never got to meet him in person and give him a hug. My deepest, heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends. He was a very special, loving soul.

To the Clark family, my condolences, prayers, love, and tears go out to each and every one of you as you say good bye to your patriarch. We have all come to know you so well through the posts Butch has shared with us over the years. His words always painted a Norman Rockwell scene of his life with each of you and the home you all shared. All who knew him always looked forward to his perceptions as a welcome reminder of the home place many of us have left years ago. Together, we could never match the clarity and sincerity of Uncle Butch's words of encouragement and wisdom, but he challenges us all to make the effort. Butch, this is not a good bye, but a "see you later" as I look forward to the day we all gather again to kick up gold dust on the streets of Glory!

We love our Uncle Butch. We will always treasure his memory, never, ever to be forgotten. We believe he truly loved everyone. He cared. That says so much right there. He cared for others. I only knew Butch through Facebook, and through my wife, who served with him at Muscular Dystrophy camp. Though I never met him personally, I considered him a friend. He obviously had a great and loving heart. I wish I could have known him in his motorcycle riding days. My sincere condolences to his loving family.
