Azalia Bynum-Shumate Obituary
Mrs. Shumate died July 12, 2007, in a Dallas hospital.
She was born Nov. 1, 1953, in Waxahachie to the late Harvey Bynum and R.D. Bynum-Taylor. She received her education in the Dallas schools, and was employed by Citigroup for 11 years. She was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church, usher board and Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Bridgette Scott and Dorothy Mitchell.
Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Robert Shumate, Cedar Hill; sons, Clarence Brittain and Justin Brittain, both of Dallas; daughters, Antoninita Shumate, Robynne Shumate and Jamie Shumate, all of Dallas; sister, Betty McGee, Dallas; brothers, James Mitchell and Harvey Bynum Jr., both of Dallas; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
