Barbara Ardito
Barbara Ann Ardito, age 87, formerly of Cromwell, CT passed away peacefully at Masonic Health Care Center of Wallingford, CT on October 16, 2022 after a brief illness. Born on February 2, 1935 in New Britain, CT, she was the daughter of the late Leo A. Macholl, Sr. and Doris Sawyer Macholl. She is survived by her daughter, Linda DeSanti and husband David of Durham, CT and sons Steven Ardito and wife Josie of Branford, CT and William Ardito and wife Kelly of Middletown, CT. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Rick and Arthur Macholl.
Barbara was an accomplished ballerina, owning a dance studio for several years where she taught ballet, tap and jazz. She was also a member of the Connecticut Ballet Society. She loved ice skating and gardening, but her favorite place was to be by the water in Old Saybrook, CT and spending time with all her grandchildren. Before retiring, she worked in retail/sales for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family.
There will be no calling hours. B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford, CT has been entrusted with arrangements. Interment will be private and the convenience of the family.
