Barbara Joyce Hoppie-Bahrami, 64, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday December 9th 2015. Having only one kidney and being on dialysis for two years, her body could not fight the staph infection she contracted.
Barbara was born in Evanston Illinois March 3, 1951 to Earl and Donna Hoppie.
While still a baby the new family moved to California eventually settling in Orange County just walking distance from Knott’s Berry Farm. Being the eldest of four children she was always surrounded by immediate family not to mention extended family who had also migrated to California.
She graduated from Buena Park High in 1969. A year later she met and married Shahdad Bahrami. Unfortunately, it was not meant to last and in 1974 she became a single mother. She worked in numerous hospitals and billing departments for the past 39 years in various positions. She enjoyed working and never wanted to retire because she did not know what she would do with herself if she did.
Barbara is survived by her only daughter Roxsanne, son-in-law Art, grandchildren Louie, Daniel and Olivia as well as her siblings, Brian, Cheryl and Connie their spouses, all of her nephews and nieces whom she loved very much and was extremely proud of.
She was loved and will be greatly missed. See you soon mommy…For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus
