Dear Barbara's family, I knew your mother for over 20 years as a colleague and friend. She was always an inspiration for her good humor and warm heart. While I was teaching in Korea, she was in Japan and decided to visit me. Just in time for an extended field trip through the mountains of northern South Korea, your beautiful wonderful mother tackled this adventure with wit and a reminder for us all to still have some dessert with our meals. My Korean friends fell in love with her. We will forever miss you Barbara.

Dear Blackstone Family,
I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that I always think of your mother whenever I am swimming at Jumonville. She was there for swim camp, when I was in 8th grade. I am not a swimmer by any means, but she worked with me on my kick. I guess being a musician I did things in four, and she wanted me to kick more times per arm stroke. After many years, I think I am finally getting it. I will also remember her for her gift of CAT Camp. It has been a source of renewal and comfort every year as I have made many dear friends through CAT Camp. I haven't missed a year yet!. Unfortunately I am not a big fan of oatmeal because of the time your mother held it over her head and it stayed in the bowl. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Rod, Carlen, Frank and Martha:
Sincere sympathy to you in the loss of your Mom. I remember from times at your home in high school that she was an intelligent, warm, loving person who always handled herself with grace and was very proud of her children. May the values she instilled in you continue to serve you well and keep her alive in your hearts.
