Barbara Ann Braxton loving daughter of the late Pinkie Yancy and John Yancy, Sr. earned her wings on Saturday, March 04, 2023, at the golden age of 79. Barbara was a lifelong resident of New Orleans LA. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Braxton, Sr., beloved mother of Michelle, Melanie, Melissa, and Carey {Kiana}, loving sister of Mary Harris, Joyce Randolph, and Gale Yancy and her late brother John Yancy, Jr. She was the proud grandmother of Paul, Anique Tahj, Keyon, Cariel, and Mike. Barbara is also survived by 5 great grandchildren: Paul Robinson, Author, Fernandez, Aiden Robinson, Kehlani, and Armani Thomas, a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and dear friends. Mrs. Braxton's Celebration of Life Service will take place at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, 5001 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, LA on Friday, March 17, 2023, for 1:30 p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Lakelawn Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
