Barb and I knew each other through my Dad whom Barb befriended online playing Slingo. She said he reminded her of her own Dad. Barb sent my Dad flowers in the hospital before he passed. She never met him in person. I met Barb once when she was in New York with her son Josh when I was visiting a friend and also once at the airport in Texas when I was waiting for my 2nd flight. Barb scrambled to the gate to say hello. Barb was such a sweet lady. Now she has met my Dad in heaven and she and l will see each other again. Barb was and is a special person.

My sister Pam and I always had such a wonderful time with Barb when we visited her from Calif. Barb would pick us up at DFW, we would have something to eat, then head over to the local Walmart. Inside the store, Barb would drive the electric "scooter" while Pam and I would fill her basket with cheese, crackers, cookies...all kinds of goodies for our fun girlie time together...and of course a couple bottles of wine!
Pam and I felt so bad that we couldn't be with Barb closer to her passing to help her and Mike. It was very hard. When Barb could manage a few minutes on the phone we talked about how much we loved her and she loved us. I know she felt wrapped in love.
Just recently, I was walking into our own local Walmart in Palm Desert. I had grabbed a cart and was studying my list when suddenly I had an overwhelming sense of Barb's presence surrounding me...like being in a bubble. And all the warm happy memories came flooding back! I smiled to myself knowing that the Lord was there and I was being given a special gift. Barb and I shopped together again, but this time she was not driving the scooter. She was in my heart.
Thank you Lord Jesus,

Barb was a blast at Bunco. She wore her crown with pride while playing. Our crew will definitely miss her.

Barb always kept me guessing..what she was going to do next. She was always the spirit that kept our family together and looking forward to the future. I was always wondering what the next chapter in her life would be. Never disappointed!

I´ll never forget Barbie teaching me and her son about AOL way back in the day. We were making iron-ons for t-shirts and she was moderating chat rooms and giggling constantly. Talking to us about bands I was into and stuff. She was open and honest every time I ever talked to her. She leaves the world a better place for her having been in it.

Barb within the last year or so was suffering physically and in December when I too also was ill. Even in her situation, she would be calling me, encouraging me, praying for me and lifting me up. Together whatever our lot we were not going to loose our faith. Barb had grown so much in her walk with the Lord, it was very evident too me. She told me one of her goals was witnessing to everyone she came in contact with for how ever long the Lord gave her. I have no doubt she is with Jesus now and she is greatly missed and remembered for her love of Jesus. Love you my sister-in-law till we meet again! Cindy
