BROWN, Barbara J. (Clouther) Of Hyannis, 81, died peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at The Pavillion Nursing Center in Hyannis with her daughter by her side holding her hand. Born in Arlington, MA on October 29, 1935, she was the daughter of the late William and Laura (Cox) Clouther. Barbara was a graduate of Arlington High School with the class of 1953. She was an avid Red Sox fan and also liked to watch the Patriots. She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Susan Brown of Hyannis; as well as many cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Paul Clouther. Donations in Barbara's name may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Barbara's Funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 30th at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 S Main St, Centerville, MA 02632. Dear Susan,
So very sorry for the loss of your Mom. I always enjoyed working with her at the fire station. I was looking over some papers when I spotted her obituary. You are in our thoughts and our prayers.

Dearest Friend and Neighbor, you will be sorely missed. I am grateful to have known you for 16 years and what I will always be thinking of is your wonderful Irish sense of humor, our many silly laughs together over a glass of wine or not, and how we could talk about anything, and tease each other with ultimate kindness.
I'll see you in the next life, Barb. Until then take care of Susan, the best of the best daughter a mother could have, but I know you know that.
Keep an eye out for me too!
Bye for now, BJ
