BUSH, Barbara Eileen

Barbara died peacefully early in the morning of January 18, with her immediate family by her side, in the Intensive Care Unit of St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, following a lengthy battle with kidney failure. Barbara is survived by her husband Roger, of 53 years, son George, and daughter Alice (Murray). She will be sadly missed by all her family, son-in-law Don, granddaughter Nicola, daughter-in-law Shaunna, and granddaughter Sarah, of Vanvouver, sister Margaret (Samways) brother-in law Gerry, nephew Craig, and nieces Katherine, Elizabeth, and Michelle, of St. Catharines Ontario, sister and brother-in-law Susan and Peter Hatherley and all her nephews and great nephews and nieces in England and Australia. She will be greatly missed by her Church Family, St. Bartholomew's, where she was an active participant in the life and worship of the Church Community. During their married life, Barbara and Roger lived in Windsor, Richmond Hill, and Ajax Ontario, Montreal, North Vancouver, and most recently in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast. She will be fondly remembered in all these places. The family extends their deep appreciation to Dr. Reznick and Dr. Werb and all the dedicated staff at St. Mary's Hospital Sechelt, and particularly all the Staff of the Critical Care Units of St. Paul's Hospital Vancouver, who gave her every possible chance and then made her final hours as comfortable as possible. A funeral service will be held at St. Bartholomew's 659 North Rd. Gibsons, on January 26 at 1:00 p.m. Barbara's ashes will be scattered in the memorial garden following the Service. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund, of the Anglican Church of Canada, or the Kidney Foundation.
