Barbara Jo Davis passed away on February 4, 2021. Her family is at peace knowing that she is now with the love of her life, her husband, Jim (2018) and her two sons David (2017) and Jamie (2009). She is survived by daughters Tamara, Beth (Alex), Tina (Karina) and Barbara (Ed); 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and brother David (Cathy).
Barbara was born in Seattle on September 20, 1935 to Francis and Norene Berry. She was the oldest of six children. Growing up in Ballard, she loved school, reading, playing the accordion, but mostly loved babysitting. She attended 12 years of Catholic school and graduated in 1953 from Holy Angels Academy. After high school she was highly active in the USO, becoming Jr. Queen in 1957. It was at the USO in 1960 where she met a young, funny and handsome sailor, Jim Davis. They were married for 58 years and together raised six children. Throughout her married life, Barbara also continued to care for additional children which led her to start an in-home daycare business. There were more than 30 children who lovingly referred to her as "Grandma" and were fortunate to have been cared for and loved by her. For 53 years, she was a member of St. Mary Magdalen parish, ensuring all her six children attended St. Mary Magdalen school where she was an active parent volunteer.
Throughout her life, one of her greatest joys was being a Grandma and Great Grandma. The bond she formed with each of them was indelible. Barbara was a generous, kind, devoted woman with a beautiful smile who loved family more than anything. She is deeply missed but will always be in our hearts.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Barbara's life will be held Saturday June 26, 2021 at 10:00AM, St. Mary Magdalen Parish 8517-7th Ave. SE, Everett 98208.

Mrs. Davis was a leader when it came to volunteering at her church and community. Both she and her husband Jim would step up when needed and usually before even being asked. No one went hungry when she was cooking at one of the camps for Outdoor Education, no one was left without a hug. Blessings and prayers to your family as you remember her wonderful life and example of a life well lived.
